Frequently Asked Questions

Booking headshots can come with a lot of questions—especially in an industry where expectations aren’t always clearly stated. This page covers the most common questions about sessions, preparation, retouching, and image use. If you don’t see your question answered here, feel free to reach out by email and I’ll be happy to help.

Booking & Planning

  • How far in advance should I book my session? 3-4 weeks

  • Can I book if I’m traveling or visiting from out of town? Yes

  • What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy? 50% fee up front is non refundable if cancelled and not rebooked.

Preparing for the Session

  • What should I wear to my headshot session? Anything that makes you feel confident! All colors & patterns are fine

  • How many outfits should I bring? As many as you want. Your time is your time!

  • Do you provide guidance on wardrobe and styling? Yes if you need help or ideas

During the Session

  • Will you help with posing and expression? Absolutely

  • Can I see images during the session? Absolutely

Retouching & Image Style

  • Will you remove wrinkles, scars, or blemishes? Yes and if there is anything specific you would like, communicate that to Ryan before editing starts to avoid delays

  • Can I request additional retouching?  Yes. (Doesn’t include rush delivery)

  • Do you offer black-and-white versions? Available upon request.​

After the Session

  • How and when will I receive my images? You will receive photos through a Google Drive folder. It will be shared with you to select and review your images. You will receive this within 1-2 weeks of the shoot if rush delivery has not been purchased.

  • How do I choose my final images? All images will be numbered. Email me and include which file numbers you want as your final images.

  • Can I purchase additional images later? Yes, up to one year

  • How long do you keep my files on record? 1 Year

  • Where are sessions held? At previously discussed locations
